How RedLayers developed Design a Barn for FCP Barns: a 3D barn configurator that became the company's main source of leads and a sales tool for its dealers.
FCP Barns wanted more leads, a way to sell online and less of its dealers' time spent on quotes. Its range offers so many options that buyers struggled to picture their barn with all of its features together.
Dealers and sales representatives were producing quotes, designs and floor plans by hand, in tools such as SketchUp and AutoCAD.

FCP came with a defined set of features. We treated it as the starting point and delivered a 3D configurator that went well beyond the brief in scope, speed and ease of use, for buyers, dealers and sales representatives alike.
In a minute, anyone can design a barn in the browser and produce a shareable link, images, a floor plan and a quote request, with a photo-style AI image of their exact barn leading the quote email.
It was built specifically for FCP, around the company's own products, options and building rules.

The configurator was developed with FCP's sales manager, Cheryl Spangler, and completed from start to finish in three months. It has since been refined to increase quote requests and save dealers and sales representatives time.
FCP Barns has supplied modular barns and prefabricated buildings since 1982, for clients including Stanford University, Legoland and Disney.
